Major Points in Kargil War (Key Battle Positions):

       1. Tololing Hill (Point 5140)

  •   One of the first and most critical battles.

    2. Tiger Hill (Point 5060 / 5353)

    • Most iconic and dramatic battle of the Kargil War.

    • Visibly towering over the national highway; difficult terrain.

      3. Point 4875 (now renamed Batra Top)

      • Fierce close combat on this snowy, steep peak.

4. Dras Sector

  • Called the “Gateway to Ladakh”, located just 60 km from LOC.

    5. Batalik Sector

    • A less-talked-about but highly important front.

    • Narrow mountain passes and ridges were captured by intruders.

      6. Mushkoh Valley

      • Used by infiltrators to enter Kargil due to its remoteness.

        7. Kaksar Sector

        • Located between Dras and Kargil town.

Whenever you visit the museum inside, do not forget to read the letters written by the army men during the war. These will, for sure, make you emotional.
